“Olmec Toys was founded by Yla Eason (http://ylaeason.org/) in 1985 due the lack of African American hero action figures during the height of He-Man’s popularity. Various doll and figure lines were created, with Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American characters. That being said, Butterfly Woman was made by Olmec Toys as an analog to She-Ra.”
